Maybe it would be harder to deposit in the virtual wastebasket if we took the time occasionally to actually compose a handwritten note or letter to the ones that are most important to us.

Your comments reminded me of my friend Marjan. She never crosses out anything and never uses a computer. Although she does not consider herself a writer, she is one. Her words are always wonderful to read and her essence comes clearly through. If only I could write sans errors!!

What goes around comes around, so if you are dissatisfied with service and/or a product, certainly speak up, but do so with a purpose – to let the manufacturer or individual know WHY you were dissatisfied and to do so in a civilized manner. There is no civility in yelling, cursing, or just plain out being mean. Rather, I politely complained to a major cosmetic company telling them why the product I purchased was not at all a favorite and made suggestions on how to improve future products. In turn, they thanked me and sent a $10 coupon for a future purchase. Always praise publicly!
